The first cause of death in women is cardiovascular disease.

Yes, more women die from this cause than from any other and, contrary to popular belief, cardiovascular disease kill more women than men. There are several risk factors unique to women, behind them: gestational diabetes mellitus, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, polycystic ovarian syndrome and the intake of oral estrogens (we will talk about all them in next posts).
